Soke Hiro Hiroshi
Hiro Hiroshi is the 54th soke of the Tengu Shinobi Clan and founder of the Tengu Shinobi Society. Master Hiroshi holds the rank of 10th dan in Tengu Ninjitsu, 6th dan in Kobudo, 3rd dan in Jujitsu, and a 1st dan in Aikido. Master Hiro Hiroshi is the 7th Hiroshi to hold the position of soke in the Tengu.

Shihan Aiko Aki
Aiko Aki teaches Shotokan Karate and Ninjitsu in the western region of Japan. Master Aki used to live in Mongolia, where he operated a Karate school that incorporated some of the ninja techniques. Upon returning to Japan, he left the school to his most senior student. Master Aki holds a 3rd dan in Tengu Ninjitsu and a 5th dan in Shotokan Karate.
Shihan Eichi Hino

Eichi Hino is a Shito-Ryu Karate instructor in Okinawa who travels back and forth between Japan and Okinawa. Master Hino holds a 7th dan in Shito-Ryu Karate and a 5th dan in Tengu Ninjitsu.
Shihan Asuka Hiroshi

Asuka Hiroshi is the wife of soke Hiro Hiroshi. Master Asuka Hiroshi started training in Judo and Aikido at the age of 7. Upon meeting soke Hiro Hiroshi, she trained with him under the guidance of his father Kenshi Hiroshi. Master Hiroshi holds a 6th dan in Tengu Ninjutsu, a 4th dan in Kobudo, a 5th dan in Judo, and a 3rd dan in Aikido.
Shihan Akio Nakasone

Akio Nakasone is a Shotokan Karate instructor and head of the Tengu Ninja Clan's special training division. Master Nakasone grew up with soke Hiro Hiroshi fought him in many hand to hand combat training events during the time Kenshi Hiroshi was soke. Master Nakasone holds a 9th dan in Shotokan Karate, a 6th dan in Shorin-Ryu Karate, and a 9th dan in Tengu Ninjitsu.
Shihan Daichi Kure

Daichi Kure is a Kenjutsu and Jujitsu instructor. Master Kure firmly believes in the way of the samurai, but with a ninja aspect to it. Master Kure assists Master Nakasome at the ninja camp in the art of the sword and travels Japan performing katana techniques. Master Kure holds an 8th dan in Kenjutsu, 5th dan in Jujitsu, and a 4th dan in Tengu Ninjitsu.

Shihan Joe Howard
Joe Howard is a Western martial artist and the only non-Japanese individual ever accepted into the Tengu Shinobi Clan. He was the final student personally trained by Kenshi Hiroshi, who began instructing Howard after relocating to his neighborhood. Two years into their training relationship, Kenshi Hiroshi passed away.
Following his teacher’s death, Howard continued practicing the Tengu teachings without fully understanding their depth or purpose at the time. It was only later in life—through the study and integration of other martial arts—that he came to fully comprehend the principles and lessons Kenshi Hiroshi had imparted.
Two years after Hiro Hiroshi assumed the role of sōke of the Tengu tradition, he fulfilled his father’s final wish by formally welcoming Howard as the clan’s sole foreign member.
Master Howard’s background extends well beyond traditional martial arts. His professional accomplishments include service as a soldier, a federal law enforcement officer, and an investigator, as well as holding numerous roles training police, military personnel, and security professionals in martial arts and defensive tactics.
In 2008, Master Howard established the Bushikan-Ryu Karate system. Over the years, he has personally trained a small group of dedicated students, including close friends and family members. The style itself blends elements from various martial arts, with a primary focus on Karate and Ninjitsu.
By 2017, he began developing his own school under the name Cobra Kan. However, in 2026, he chose to rename it, adopting a more traditionally Japanese identity as a way to honor and show respect to the Tengu clan.
He holds a 7th dan in Bushikan-Ryū Karate, a 5th dan in Tengu Ninjutsu, a 4th dan in Shōrin-Ryū Karate, a 4th dan in Taekwondo, a 3rd dan in Takahashi Kobudō/Kenjutsu/Shinobi-Jitsu, an 8th kyū in Shitō-Ryū Karate, and 4th kyū in Judo. In addition, he has studied a wide range of other disciplines, including Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Pencak Silat, Arnis, Muay Boran, Jujutsu, Judo, and many more. Outside of martial arts, master Howard is a well known author and has written many books.
Shihan Nikko Hayashi

Nikko Hayashi is a Pencak Silat and Shito-Ryu Karate instructor. Master Hayashi assists the soke in daily operations pertaining to the Tengu and is also considered to be second in charge of the Tengu Shinobi clan. Master Hayashi Spent years in Indonesia where he would serve as a school teacher teaching Japanese. After spending 22 years in Indonesia, he would return to Japan and and reconnect with the Tengu. Master Hayashi holds a 2nd dan in Shito-Ryu Karate, a 4th black sash in Pencak Silat, and a 9th dan in Tengu Ninjitsu.
Shihan Ryo Takahashi

Ryo Takahashi was born in Okinawa and moved to Japan at an early age. His father was a master in Kenjutsu. Master Takahashi trained for years in both Kobudo and Kenjutsu before joining the Tengu. After years of training in both weapon styles, he then took over his father's school and combined the styles to incorporate an overall view of weapons to better those be trained. Master Takahashi holds a 9th dan in Kobudo, 6th dan in Kenjutsu, 4th dan black belt in Shinobi-Jutsu, and a 4th dan in Tengu Ninjutsu.
Sensei Kaito Nakaya

Kaito Nakaya was born in Tokyo and is Japanese/Korean decendent. Mater Nakava moved to Souel South Korea at age 8, but started studying Taekwondo at the age of 5 by his father and was recognized around the world as a top Taekwondo competitor in his early teens. At the age of 15, he moved back to Tokyo and started studying Tengu Ninjutsu. Master Nakaya holds a 2nd dan black belt in Judo, a 2nd dan black belt in Tengu Ninjutsu and a 7th dan black belt in Taekwondo
Shihan Yuki Sato

Yuki Sato was born in Tokyo and spent much of her childhood in Okinawa, where the rich martial traditions of the islands became part of her identity. From an early age, her father trained her rigorously in Shotokan Karate, not simply as a hobby, but with the expectation that she would compete at a high level. Under his disciplined guidance, she developed into a formidable tournament competitor, known for her sharp technique, explosive speed, and unwavering composure under pressure. The competitive arena shaped her resilience and gave her a technical precision that later allowed her to transition seamlessly into other martial arts systems.
Her years living in England further broadened her perspective. Immersed in a different culture, she refined her teaching philosophy and deepened her understanding of how martial arts can bridge communities across backgrounds and languages. Rather than limiting herself to one discipline, she expanded her training, building a well-rounded foundation that combined striking, weapons work, and traditional Japanese combat principles.
Upon returning to Japan, Yuki dedicated herself not only to martial excellence but also to service. She began working closely with women who had experienced abuse, using martial arts as a tool for rebuilding confidence, restoring personal strength, and fostering independence. Her programs emphasized awareness, boundary-setting, and practical self-defense, empowering her students both physically and mentally.
Master Sato holds a 7th dan in Shotokan Karate, reflecting decades of disciplined study and leadership within the art. She also holds a 4th dan in Tengu Ninjitsu, along with a 1st dan in Kobudo and a 1st dan in Taekwondo, making her a rare martial artist whose expertise spans both traditional and cross-cultural systems. Her career stands as a testament not only to technical mastery, but to the belief that true strength is measured by the ability to uplift others.
Shihan Shion Hiroshi

Daughter of Hiro Hiroshi and Asuka Hiroshi, was born in Sapporo. Deeply drawn to the winter wilderness of northern Japan, she is often found alone among the snowbound mountains, where she meditates, trains, and refines her discipline.
In her earlier years, she served as an officer with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, gaining firsthand experience beyond the traditions of the clan. Having since withdrawn from public service, she now operates a small dojo hidden within the northern highlands.
Master Hiroshi holds a 6th dan in Tengu Ninjutsu, a 3rd dan in Shotokan Karate, a 3rd dan in Japanese Jujutsu, and a 1st dan in Aikido—embodying both the ancient ways of the Tengu and the demands of the modern world.
Shihan Eiki Fujiwara

Born in Tokyo and raised in mainland China, Master Fujiwara began his martial arts journey under the guidance of his father, who trained him in traditional Japanese martial arts, and his Chinese grandfather, who introduced him to Chinese martial arts. As a child, he traveled extensively with his father, an international businessman at the time, gaining exposure to martial arts cultures around the world. During these travels, he frequently competed in open martial arts tournaments against practitioners from various disciplines. Master Fujiwara now resides in Shanghai, China, where he teaches Wing Chun, Judo, and Shinobi-Jitsu. He holds a 2nd Dan black belt in Judo, a 3rd-degree black sash in Wing Chun, and 5th Dan black belts in both Shinobi-Jitsu and Tengu Ninjitsu.
Shihan Umito Chiku

Hailing from the northernmost region of Japan, Master Chiku is renowned not only for his martial arts expertise but also for his intricate winter ice sculptures. Each year, as winter comes to an end and the sculptures begin to thaw, he leads his students into the forest to train by striking and breaking the frozen creations as part of their discipline and conditioning. Master Chiku holds a 6th Dan black belt in Tengu Ninjitsu.
Sensei Manatsu Ueno

Born in South Korea to Japanese missionary parents, Sensei Ueno later helped establish a Taekwondo school in Oita, Japan. Combining Korean martial arts tradition with Japanese discipline, Sensei Ueno has dedicated years to teaching and mentoring students. She holds a 4th Dan black belt in Taekwondo and a 2nd Dan black belt in Tengu Ninjitsu.
Sensei Uumi Mizouchi

Sensei Mizouchi serves as the assistant instructor at Master Umito Chiku’s Northern Japan Shinobi Academy. Originally from Sapporo, Japan, she is respected for her relentless fighting spirit and fierce combat style. Her reputation for intensity and uncompromising training methods has made her a formidable martial artist and instructor. Sensei Mizouchi holds a 3rd Dan black belt in Tengu Ninjitsu and a 2nd Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate.
Sensei Pikku Higashitani

Born in Naha, Sensei Higashitani is a former Karate tournament competitor celebrated for his powerful and devastating front kick. With a background rooted in Okinawan martial traditions, he has developed a reputation for speed, precision, and discipline. He holds a 3rd Dan black belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate, a 1st Dan black belt in Kobudo, and a 3rd Dan black belt in Tengu Ninjitsu.
Sensei Gouta Nigorigawa

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Sensei Nigorigawa grew up in a household deeply connected to both medicine and martial arts, with a mother who worked as a doctor and a father who was a full-time martial arts instructor. Influenced by this unique upbringing, he pursued rigorous martial arts training from an early age. Sensei Nigorigawa holds a 3rd Dan black belt in Kyokushin Karate and a 3rd Dan black belt in Tengu Ninjitsu.
